HOP PARTNERS WITH ALPHA PREGNANCY AND PARENTING SUPPORT

ALPHA BABY BOTTLES ARE COMING!

Next week, you will see the brightly colored ALPHA baby bottles at the church door, as ALPHA Pregnancy and Parenting Support kicks off its 17^th year of the fundraiser, “Bucks for Babies” (formerly known as Change For Life).  We hope you will take a bottle home with you, fill it with your “bucks” (of course, change is welcome too), and bring it back on Fathers’ Day.  Your contributions, combined with others from throughout SLO County, makes it possible for ALPHA to continue providing life-changing services to those facing the challenges of pregnancy and early parenthood.  In the past year, we have helped over 500 babies make a healthier and happier start in life.  ALPHA is about strengthening families, one baby at a time! 

Do you know that we have office hours right here in Arroyo Grande twice a month so that clients don't have to make the long trek to San Luis Obispo?  On the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month, from 12:00 to 3:00, our Family Resource Associate is at the S.A.F.E. Family Resource Center at 1086 Grand Avenue, Room 106.  The phone there is 474-2105.

CHANGE FOR LIFE 2016

House of Prayer Church partners with SLO County ALPHA Pregnancy and Parenting Support Centers each year during their annual 'Change for Life' fundraiser campaign.
On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8, 2016, empty baby bottles will be available for individuals and families to take home and fill with loose change. Baby bottles can be returned to HOP during any service between May 8 and June 19. There is no limit on the number of baby bottles you can fill.

Alpha provides an important safety net for local women, their infants and families during pregnancy and for a year after birth. Alpha’s free services include classes and support groups as well as necessary items for pregnancy and early child care. We are actively involved in community public health initiatives supporting education on healthy pregnancies. By linking families to health, education, child care, and other resources, Alpha helps brighten the futures of parents and their children in San Luis Obispo County.
