Choir Rehearsal

The next adult choir rehearsal will be held on Tuesday, October 23 after Tuesday Night Bible Study at Breakthrough Ministries.

Friday Night Variety Night

Come out and receive a blessing at our weekly Friday Night Variety Service in SLO. Service begins at 7:30 pm at 2932 Augusta Street (Breakthrough Ministries). 

Victory Harvest Pastor Appreciation Service

Victory Harvest COGIC will celebrate their pastor and first lady for 51 years of faithful service. Sunday, October 28 at 3:00 pm in Santa Maria at Victory Harvest COGIC, 619 N. Railroad St. Dinner will be served from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Women's Advance

Mark your calendars for our Women's Advance 2013 held on January 17 and January 19, 2013 at the Hadsten Inn and Spa in Solvang, California. The registration fee is $75.00. See Dr. Sandra Thomas for more information.

CD Ministry

Our CD Outreach has begun! Each HOP family can receive one FREE CD of the Sunday morning message. Maybe you missed a portion of the message or perhaps you wanted to review a particular scripture. Pick up your FREE CD after service at the media table. When you are done, pass the CD on to your friends, family, and co-workers. It is a great tool to use when proclaiming the Good News.

Women's Advance 2013

Women's Advance 2013

The annual House of Prayer Women's Advance will take place Thursday, January 17 through Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Solvang, California at the Hadsten House Inn and Spa. It a great time of fellowship, encouragement, and refocus for women of all ages and stages of life. The most common question in regards to the event is "What is an advance and how is it different from other retreats for women?" 

When the Lord gave Sis. Gridiron the vision for the event 16 years ago, He instructed her to share with the ladies that God is continually calling them to move forward into a deeper relationship with Him. Each year the ladies are challenged to "advance" in all facets and all seasons of their lives, whether they are wives, mothers, daughters, co-workers, and friends.  The utmost goal is to teach women to seek after Jesus with a heart that says "Yes, Lord" every day.

The Advance covers two days and two nights filled with singing, teaching, prayer, and lots of laughter. There is opportunity for quiet time alone to reflect and meditate on what God is sharing with you specifically. 

The guest speaker at the 2013 HOP Women's Advance is Sis. Diane Vargas, co-pastor of Rock of Horeb Church in Whittier, California. She and her husband, Pete, lived on the Central Coast for many years before the Lord called them to move to Southern California and begin a ministry there. 

The registration cost for the Advance is $75.00. This price covers materials associated with the Advance. This price does not include any meals. 
Registration and payment must be received by Thursday, November 15, 2012.

Attendees are responsible for booking their own hotel room. Rooms at the Hadsten House are set aside under "House of Prayer" for $139.00 per night. This price includes breakfast each morning. 

If you are unable to attend the entire event, you may register single days during the weekend:

Friday morning session      $60.00

Friday evening session       $60.00

Friday AM and PM sessions   $120.00

Saturday morning session   $60.00  

These prices include materials only--no meals

Adult Choir Rehearsal

Deacon Clemente Sainten is the scheduled speaker at our October 19 Friday Night service. Come receive a blessing at 7:30 pm in SLO at 2932 Augusta Street (Breakthrough Ministries).

Santa Barbara Region "Meet the Bishop" Service
The Southern California First Jurisdiction Prelate, Bishop Joe Ealy, will visit our region on Friday, October 19 at 7:00 pm at the Channel Islands COGIC in Oxnard. The address is 1650 Channel Islands Blvd.

Victory Harvest
Victory Harvest COGIC will hold an appreciation service for 51 years of ministry from Elder and Sis. Johnson on Sunday, October 28 at 3:00 pm. Dinner will be served from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The church is located at 619 N. Railroad in Santa Maria.

Men's Fellowship
The Men's Fellowship Breakfast is on its yearly hiatus. The meetings will resume in January 2013.

Women's Advance

October is Clergy Appreciation Month. Make sure you take time to thank the men and women who faithfully serve congregations all over the world, particularly those who serve in YOUR church.

Need some ideas on how to show your appreciation? Here are a few:

Pray
There is no better gift than to pray for your pastor. Many of us pray for the pastor on Sundays before the sermon. Make a commitment to pray every day during the month of October. 

Write a note of appreciation
For many pastors, the only feedback they receive from members may be negative. Write a note sharing how the pastor has inspired, encouraged, and challenged you in your walk with Christ.

Gas Cards
Pastors are on the road a lot. Between driving back and forth to the church, visiting members, and participating in meetings and conferences, gas can easily take up a large part of their budgets. Any size denomination will do.

This gift speaks for itself.

Family Bible Study
Family Bible Study is held every Tuesday at 7:00 pm in SLO at 2932 Augusta Street (Breakthrough Ministries). Everyone is invited.

Women's Advance
