SANTA MARIA DISTRICT HOLY CONVOCATION--SEPTEMBER 4-7, 2018

Santa Maria District Holy Convocation Schedule
Begins Tuesday, September 4, 2018 through Friday, September 7, 2018

Dear Beloved Saints of the Most High God:

This is to inform you of our yearly Holy Convocation which begins on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 through Friday, September 7, 2018. 
This convocation will be a time of refreshing, as Gods people come together and praise the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. God has great and awesome things for the people of God.

Our Theme is: “Called to be the Head, and not the Tail.” 
Our scripture text is taken from Deuteronomy 28:12-13. (KJV). 
"The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. (13) And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them." (KJV)

Listed below are scheduled times for all of the Holy Convocation services. 
All services will start at 7:00 p.m., with the exception of the Women’s’ Day service on Thursday, September 6, 2018, which will start at 6:30 p.m. 
All services will be held at House of Prayer, Church of God in Christ which is located at 640 S. Frontage Road, Nipomo, CA 93444, where Superintendent Grant P Gridiron is the host Pastor.


Tuesday, September, 4, 2018. The Deacon will go forth.
Elder Gerald Purify from Breakthrough Ministry, COGIC in San Luis Obispo, CA is our speaker.

Wednesday, September 5, 2018. The Education Department will be featured. 
Pastor Ricardo Gonzalez from Casa de Oracion in San Luis Obispo, CA is our speaker.

Thursday, September 6, 2018 is Women’s Day. This is the day we appreciate, show our love, and thank Missionary Betty Ford for her labor of love to our District. The color for the evening is purple. If You do not have purple, we are asking that you still come. (Women) Auxiliary Leaders, please bring your banners as there will be a banner march.

Friday, September 7, 2018, is Official Day. This is the day we show our love, appreciation and thank our Superintendent, Grant P. Gridiron for his labor of love to our district. 
Our speaker is Dr. Gabriel McCurtis, Ed.D./Regional Superintendent . He is from Unity Christian Fellowship, COGIC, located in Oxnard, CA.

You do not want to miss any of our services, as God will be doing great things during this Convocation.

In closing, the Bible admonishes us in Psalms 133:1, “How Good and Pleasant it is when Brothers live together in Unity! Looking forward to seeing each and every one of you there.
